Get the facts about the proposed merger

If you're like us, you've been hearing tons of rumors about the proposed merger between T-Mobile and Sprint. What we really need right now are facts about this deal. So our union, CWA, has put together a website, TMobileSprintFacts.org, that shows just how negative the impact would be on workers and consumers if the merger were approved.

For the latest news and updates on the proposed TMobile/Sprint merger, follow @TMSprintFacts on Twitter: https://twitter.com/TMSprintFacts.

In fact, CWA's research shows the merger would result in the loss of 30,000 jobs across the United States. And a report out just this week (PDF) by the Economic Policy Institute and the Roosevelt Institute shows the merger would reduce the number of major wireless carriers from four to three, and thereby increase prices for consumers and depress wages for workers, not just at T-Mobile and Sprint, but at AT&T Mobility and Verizon Wireless as well.

Despite what T-Mobile and Sprint executives are saying about their deal, we believe the merger would be bad news for workers and consumers. Hundreds of other T-Mobile and Sprint workers have joined us in calling on regulators to hold the companies accountable for their promises to increase jobs after a merger.
